Agiofarago lies on the south coast of Crete, near the mouth of a gorge that runs down to the Libyan Sea in Heraklion regional unit. The area is reached by a walk down the Agiofarago ravine to a small cove flanked by limestone cliffs, an isolated stretch of coastline with little development nearby.
