About this site
The Al Munassir is a former Omani Navy landing ship deliberately sunk as an artificial reef off the coast of Oman, near Bandar Khayran on the Muscat coast. It was scuttled in the early 2000s and now lies broken in two sections on a seabed reaching around 30 metres, offering swim-throughs of its cargo holds and open deck areas. Divers have reported lionfish, octopus, and pufferfish around the structure, alongside the encrusting marine growth that has built up on the hull over time. Given its size and the way it sits split on the bottom, it is generally considered a dive suited to those with some wreck diving experience.
