About this site
Amager Strandpark is a man-made beach and coastal park on the island of Amager, just southeast of Copenhagen in Denmark's Hovedstaden region, facing the Øresund strait that separates Denmark from Sweden. The park was created in the mid-2000s from reclaimed land and sits along a shallow, sandy stretch of coastline popular with local swimmers and divers alike. The Havheksen dive site here reaches a maximum depth of around 4 metres and is rated a beginner dive, making it a straightforward, shallow entry into the Øresund's coastal waters.
