About this site
The American Star is a wreck site on Fuerteventura in Spain's Canary Islands, at the edge of the Atlantic off the archipelago's coast. It comes from the SS American Star, an ocean liner that ran aground on the island's shore in 1994 and broke apart over subsequent years. The dive here reaches a maximum depth of around 5 metres and is considered a beginner level site.
