About this site
Amos Rock lies within the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park, a marine protected area in the Sulu Sea off Palawan, accessible mainly by liveaboard during the park's open season from roughly March to June. The reef system here sits far from the mainland, surrounded by open water, which is why access is tightly seasonal and regulated by park authorities. The dive reaches a maximum depth of around 15 metres and is rated advanced, with divers noting strong currents, waves, and wind around the rock. Barracuda and trevally are regular sights here, and divers have also reported nudibranchs, snapper, and tuna on the reef.
