Anchor lies along the coast of Inhambane province in southern Mozambique, an area known for its Indian Ocean dive sites reached by boat from towns such as Tofo and Barra. The coastline here is characterized by sandy channels and reef systems typical of the Inhambane bay region. This particular reef sits shallow, with a maximum depth of around 12 metres, making it a beginner site. Divers have reported angelfish, clownfish, fusiliers, lionfish, scorpionfish, and triggerfish around the reef, along with occasional sightings of manta rays and even whales passing through the area.
