Anchor Point

Anchor Point is a reef dive site on the east shore of Loch Fyne, Scotland, offering up to 30 metres of depth alongside reef terrain and a notable variety of marine life including many varieties of jellyfish.

The site is considered technical in difficulty. Diving is tide-dependent and best undertaken on an incoming tide. Visibility is generally good, consistent with the west coast of Scotland where 10 to 30 metres is common, though conditions can vary with recent storms or algae blooms. Water temperatures typically range between 7°C and 14°C during the main dive season of April to October, with colder conditions outside those months.

Marine life at Anchor Point includes Staghorn corals, Blue Green Chromis, Foxface, Orange-socket Surgeonfish, fusiliers, False Killer Whale, jellyfish including Lion's Mane Jellyfish, Harbour Crab, Long-spined Sea Scorpion, Sea Urchin, Seven-armed Starfish, Spiny Starfish, Common Starfish, and Bootlace Worm.
