About this site
Angol Point sits off the southern end of Boracay island, in the Visayas region of the Philippines, near the busier stretch of White Beach, along the island's western coastline facing the Sibuyan Sea. It's a shallow reef dive to about 11 metres, rated beginner, with good visibility on most days over a reef bottom. Frogfish, lionfish, and sweetlips are common here, and divers have also reported bannerfish, clownfish, damselfish, mantis shrimp, nudibranchs, pipefish, scorpionfish, squid, trevally, and even the odd thresher shark. Visibility can drop after heavy rain when runoff from a nearby river passes through the area.
