About this site
Aspronisi is the small, largely uninhabited islet sitting between Santorini and Therasia, part of the volcanic caldera rim in the Cyclades. The wall here follows the steep underwater flanks shaped by the same eruption that formed the caldera, dropping off the islet's exposed side into the Aegean. It is rated a beginner dive.
