About this site
The Ba Site lies off the Georgia coast near the mouth of the St. Marys River, in the nearshore waters along the state's short stretch of Atlantic coastline. Like other artificial sites in this part of the South Atlantic Bight, it was placed to supplement the naturally soft, sandy seabed found here. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres.
