About this site
Bacalar Chico sits at the northern tip of Ambergris Caye, Belize, near the channel that separates the island from Mexico's Yucatan peninsula and forms part of the Belize Barrier Reef system. The area is protected as a marine reserve and national park, and dive and snorkel sites here are reached by boat from towns further south on the caye.
