About this site
Bahia Beach is a deep shore reef near Vourvourou on the Sithonia peninsula in Halkidiki, Greece, entered from a small gulf with a beach bar. It is one of the deepest reefs in Sithonia and is used as a home reef for technical diving.
The rock reef starts at 3 metres and forms a slope followed by two walls. The first runs from 6 to 18 metres and the second from 22 to 45 metres, and the sandy slope below leads technical divers on to 65 metres. It suits all levels, from Discover Scuba up to technical diving.
Visibility is 15 to 22 metres or more. Lobsters, moray eels, sea anemones, groupers, octopus and large amberjack are found here.
