About this site
Bahia de Tijeretas sits near San Cristobal, the easternmost island of the Galapagos archipelago in Ecuador, close to the town of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. The bay is named for the frigatebirds (tijeretas) that nest on the surrounding cliffs and is a well known snorkeling and shore access point on San Cristobal's coast. It is a shore dive reaching a maximum depth of around 12 metres, rated beginner, making it one of the more accessible entry points on the island for those starting out.
