About this site

Cabo de Palos sits at the southeastern tip of the Murcia region, where the Costa Cálida meets the Mediterranean near the Mar Menor lagoon. Bajo de Dentro lies among the reefs and rocky shoals off this cape, an area long known for its lighthouse and its marine reserve status protecting the underwater terrain nearby. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers have reported barracuda, eagle rays, grouper, and even the occasional mola mola on this reef.
