About this site
The Chinijo Archipelago sits off the northern tip of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, formed by the islets of La Graciosa, Montaña Clara, and Alegranza. Its waters are protected as a marine reserve, one of the largest in Europe, and the seabed around these islets is shaped by volcanic rock formations dropping into the Atlantic. Bajo de las Gerardias would be reached by boat from La Graciosa or from ports on Lanzarote's north coast.
