Banc Medee lies in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of St. Martin, part of the Leeward Islands chain in the northeastern Caribbean. The bank sits offshore in open water, typical of the shallow underwater rises found around these islands. Divers here have reported Atlantic blue tang, Atlantic sergeant majors, Caribbean ocean surgeonfish, French angelfish, and French grunt around the site.
