About this site
Basac is a wall dive on the southeastern coast of Negros Oriental, on Negros Island in the Visayas region of the Philippines, facing the Bohol Sea and typically reached by boat from nearby coastal communities. The wall runs to a maximum depth of around 24 metres. Divers have reported a wide range of small critters here, including anemone hermit crabs, anemone porcelain crabs, banded coral shrimp, banded pipefish, blacksaddle tobies, diagonal shrimpgobies, orange-dashed gobies, ornate ghostpipefish, squat anemone shrimp, white-eyed morays, scorpionfish, and nudibranchs, making it a reasonable spot for those interested in macro subjects along the reef wall.
