About this site
Bat Cave sits along the coast of Bali, Indonesia, near the strait separating Bali from Java on the island's northern side, and is typically reached by a short boat trip from nearby coastal villages. The site is a cave dive to a maximum depth of around 28 metres, rated intermediate, with strong current running through the cave and a rocky, cave-formed bottom. Divers have reported large waves and strong currents as hazards here, so timing entries around conditions matters. Batfish, grouper, nudibranchs, and tuna have also been spotted on dives at the site.
