Batu Pendeta

Batu Pendeta lies off the coast of Sulawesi in Indonesia, within the waters northeast of the island that feed into the Celebes Sea, taking its name from a rock formation as is common for dive spots along this stretch of the archipelago. The site tops out at around 16 metres over a rocky bottom, with good visibility but strong current, making it a dive rated intermediate. Eagle rays are common here, and divers have also reported manta rays, mola mola, and sweetlips passing through. Local operators in the surrounding coastal towns typically run boat trips out to the site.
