About this site
Bidong Island lies off the coast of Terengganu, Malaysia, in the South China Sea, known historically as a former refugee camp site rather than a dive destination. Bidong Reef, one of the fringing reefs around the island, is rated an advanced dive, with strong currents reported in the area. Divers have also reported nurse sharks here. The site is typically reached by boat from jetties along the Terengganu coast.
