About this site
Big Country lies off Cyprus's southern coast, where the Mediterranean meets the Levantine Sea. This site features dramatic underwater cliffs plunging to 40 meters, with swim-throughs and overhangs sheltering groupers, barracuda, and moray eels. Strong currents attract pelagics, while the rocky terrain hosts colorful sponges and sea fans. Visibility often exceeds 30 meters, making it ideal for advanced divers. The site's steep drop-offs create thrilling drift dives, with occasional sightings of turtles and rays gliding along the walls.
