About this site
Big Jack Hole sits in the Gulf of Mexico off Florida's west coast, well offshore in the open waters west of the peninsula, and is typically reached by boat running out from ports along Florida's central or southern west coast. It is a reef site with a maximum depth of about 10.7 metres, making it a beginner dive. Divers have reported barracuda, grouper, parrotfish, and snapper around the reef here.
