About this site
Bjarnagjá is a fissure dive in the Suðurnes region of Iceland's Reykjanes peninsula, part of the same volcanic rift zone as the better known Silfra. It reaches a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Divers have also reported an overhead environment at parts of the fissure, so caution around the rock walls and passages is warranted.
