About this site
Black Head lies along the County Cork coastline in the Irish province of Munster, on Ireland's south coast, with the rocky headland giving the site its name. It is a reef dive reaching a maximum depth of around 15 metres and is rated suitable for beginners. Divers have reported lobster, nudibranchs, and scorpionfish among the rocks here, along with kelp growth that can be a factor to watch on the dive. Sites in this stretch of water are typically reached by boat from harbours along the Cork coast.
