About this site
Black Rock lies in the Mergui Archipelago off the coast of Myanmar, in the Andaman Sea. It is a remote outcrop reached mainly by liveaboard from ports such as Kawthaung or Myeik, well offshore from the mainland. The reef around the rock has drawn reports from divers of bull sharks, eagle rays, grouper, and manta rays passing through the area.
