About this site
The Ad Dimaniyat Islands are a small archipelago in the Gulf of Oman, off the coast north of Muscat, protected as a nature reserve and reached by boat from the mainland. Black Tip Reef sits within this island group, whose reefs are formed largely of rock and coral outcrops rather than fringing coastal reef. The site tops out at around 18 metres and is rated a beginner dive over a reef bottom. Divers have also reported leopard (zebra) sharks and whale sharks passing through here.
