About this site
Blairgowrie Pier is a shore dive on the Port Phillip Bay side of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia, reaching a maximum depth of around 7 metres. It is rated an intermediate dive, and the pier pylons and surrounding sand are the main draw for muck and macro divers. Nudibranchs are confirmed here, while divers have also reported blue-ringed octopus, crocodilefish, cuttlefish, frogfish, octopus, pipefish, seahorse, squid, and stingrays around the structure. The blue-ringed octopus has also been flagged as a hazard, worth keeping in mind given how small and easily overlooked they can be around pier pylons.
