Blue Buoy sits within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park off the coast of far north Queensland, in the general vicinity of Cairns and Port Douglas. Sites along this stretch of reef are typically reached by day boat from those coastal towns. It is a reef dive with a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated a beginner site.
