About this site

Blue Corner is a promontory reef off Ngemelis Island in Palau's Rock Islands, dropping from a shallow plateau into open water on a wall. It is known for strong current sweeping along the corner, which is why divers commonly use reef hooks to stay in place and watch the action without burning air. Barracuda and napoleon wrasse are a fixture here, and divers have also reported eagle rays, reef sharks, hammerheads, tiger sharks, whale sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, snapper, trevally, jacks, fusiliers, and grouper moving through the corner. Depths run to around 30 metres, and it is rated an advanced dive given the current and the need for careful timing with tides.
