About this site
Just off Korcula Island, this dramatic underwater sinkhole plunges to 35 meters, its deep blue waters contrasting with the surrounding reefs. Schools of dentex and bream circle the entrance while moray eels lurk in crevices. The vertical walls are carpeted in vibrant sponges and corals. Strong currents attract pelagics—keep an eye out for passing tuna. Best dived in calm conditions when sunlight pierces the depths, creating mesmerizing light effects. Suitable for advanced divers due to depth and occasional surge.
