About this site
Blue Sea Lake sits within the Rock Islands of Palau, Micronesia, an archipelago of raised limestone islets in the western Pacific known for their marine lakes and sheltered lagoons. The area is reached by boat from Koror through the surrounding channels and mangrove-lined waterways. Divers here have reported dusky surgeonfish, Indian bullethead parrotfish, lined bristletooth, mimic surgeonfish, orangestripe triggerfish, redfin butterflyfish, small giant clams, and vagabond butterflyfish around the site.
