Bookends lies off Tobago in the southeastern Caribbean, part of the string of dive sites around the island known for strong currents and nutrient-rich water flowing from the Orinoco. Local dive operators typically run trips out from the northwest coast near Speyside or Charlotteville to reach sites in this area. Divers here have reported banded butterflyfish, Caribbean bluehead wrasse, doctorfish, Western Atlantic trumpetfish, and yellowhead wrasse.
