About this site
Bunaken National Park sits off the northern tip of Sulawesi, near Manado in North Sulawesi province, and encompasses several islands including Bunaken itself within the Bangka Strait area of the Celebes Sea. The park is known for its steep dropoffs and walls, with reef flats giving way to deep water close to shore. It is a well established diving destination in Indonesia, reached by boat from Manado, and covers a large marine area rather than a single site.
