Bwejuu sits on the east coast of Zanzibar Island, Tanzania, facing the open Indian Ocean south of Pingwe. Divers here have reported sightings of Indian humpback dolphins, By-the-wind sailors, and a range of reef invertebrates including snake sea cucumbers, red-knobbed and spotted linckia sea stars, spiny cushion stars, lagoon brittle stars, and Indo-Pacific rock-boring urchins, alongside Indian Ocean humbug damselfish.
