About this site
Calderón lies along the Caribbean coast of Magdalena department in Colombia, in the vicinity of Santa Marta and Tayrona National Natural Park. This stretch of coastline is marked by rocky headlands and small bays that give way to the Caribbean Sea, with the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta rising close behind the shoreline. The reef here tops out at around 10 metres and is rated a beginner dive, making it an accessible site for divers starting out along this part of the coast.
