About this site
Canyons sits off Marinduque, an island province in the Sibuyan Sea between Luzon and Mindoro, and takes its name from the rocky reef formations along this stretch of coastline, usually reached by boat from the surrounding coastal barangays. The site is a reef dive to a maximum depth of around 31 metres, rated beginner and known for good visibility. Divers have also reported barracuda, tuna, and even hammerhead and thresher sharks passing through, though sightings of the sharks are occasional rather than guaranteed.
