Cap Cerbère lies at the southeastern edge of France's Mediterranean coast, near the Spanish border in the Pyrénées-Orientales, close to the town of Cerbère. The site sits within the stretch of protected coastline associated with the Cerbère-Banyuls marine reserve, one of the older marine protected areas on the French Mediterranean. Diving here reaches a maximum depth of around 15 metres and is considered suitable for beginners.
