About this site

Careless Reef sits offshore in the Red Sea Governorate near Hurghada, in the stretch of open water dive boats work between the mainland and the outer reef systems of this coast. It is a reef dive reaching a maximum depth of around 40 metres, rated intermediate, with strong current to plan around. Barracuda, jacks and amberjack, moray eels, and tuna are regularly encountered here, and divers have also reported lionfish, Napoleon wrasse, and reef sharks on the reef.
