About this site
Cat Island lies off the coast of Oman near the Gulf of Oman, in the vicinity of Muscat's coastal waters. It is a reef site with a maximum depth of around 7 metres, making it a beginner dive. Whale sharks are a confirmed draw here, and divers have also reported angelfish, barracuda, eagle rays, leopard or zebra sharks, nudibranchs, parrotfish, pufferfish, and seahorses on the reef.
