About this site
Cathedral Rock lies among the small islands off Waigeo in Raja Ampat, part of the Pulau Wajang area in West Papua, Indonesia, within the Coral Triangle and typically reached by liveaboard or small boat from nearby island resorts. The site is a reef with a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers have reported anthias, clownfish, fusiliers, surgeonfish, and reef sharks around the reef, along with jacks, trevally, tuna, and even dolphins passing through the area.
