Cayo Diablo West lies off the northeast coast of Puerto Rico near Fajardo, in a stretch of the Caribbean dotted with small cays and reef systems, and is typically reached by boat from the Fajardo marinas. Divers here have reported a reef fish community typical of this part of the Caribbean, including Atlantic blue tang, bicolor damselfish, Brazilian ocean surgeonfish, Caribbean bluehead wrasse, and yellowhead wrasse moving over the reef, along with princess, redband, stoplight, and striped parrotfish grazing the coral.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
