Caesarea Maritima lies along Israel's Mediterranean coast, where the ruins of the ancient port city built by Herod the Great extend into the sea. Submerged remnants of the old harbor, including sections of quays and breakwaters, can be explored underwater near the modern town of Caesarea. The dive here reaches a maximum depth of around 8 metres and is considered suitable for beginners.
