About this site
Cerianthus 38 Mt lies in the waters off Catania, on the eastern coast of Sicily along the Ionian Sea. The wreck sits at a maximum depth of around 38 metres, in an area of this coastline shaped by volcanic rock from nearby Mount Etna, which gives many local dive sites their dark, rugged seabed character. Despite the depth, it is rated a beginner dive.
