About this site
A small steamer, she had 3 schooner-barges in tow and was running empty when fire broke out. The crew cut loose the barges, and was able to keep the engines running long enough to beach her. The crew was taken off by a lifeboat from one of the barges, and everyone escaped safely. Engines and other equipment remain just below the water surface. Lies in about 4.6 m; sank 1908.
