About this site
Chunnel lies along the KwaZulu-Natal coast of South Africa, in the stretch of Indian Ocean waters off this southeastern province, where boat trips from the local coastal towns reach its reef and rocky formations. It is a beginner dive with a maximum depth of around 12 metres, built around a swim-through where little light penetrates the cave. Divers have also reported scorpionfish and wrasse sheltering along the reef here.
