Clement Reef sits off the Sabah coast near Kota Kinabalu in Malaysian Borneo, along the South China Sea, despite the Kalimantan Timur label attached here, which actually refers to a separate region in Indonesian Borneo further south and east. This stretch of coastline is dotted with reef systems and small islands typically reached by boat from Kota Kinabalu. Clement Reef itself is rated a beginner dive.
