Cliff Hanger lies in the waters off Sabah, Malaysia, in the Semporna area near Sipadan, on the Celebes Sea side of Borneo. The coordinates place it among the small volcanic and coral formations scattered along this stretch of coastline, close to the muck diving grounds around Mabul and Kapalai. It's classed as a muck site, where divers search the sandy, silty bottom rather than a reef wall for their finds. The dive is rated advanced.
