About this site

Colomitos sits along the coastline south of Puerto Vallarta, near the small cove of Playa Colomitos in the Bahia de Banderas area of Jalisco. This stretch of the bay is dotted with rocky points reached by boat from towns like Boca de Tomatlan or Yelapa, tucked between the forested hills that run down to the water. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 27 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported barracuda, eagle rays, frogfish, grouper, lobster, nurse sharks, sea turtles, and snapper around the site.
