About this site
Cordilheira lies off Salvador, along the coast of Bahia in northeastern Brazil, near the mouth of the Bay of All Saints where it meets the Atlantic. Salvador's coastal dive sites in this area are typically reached by boat from the city's marinas. Divers here have reported a mostly small-scale community of reef life, including rock-boring urchins, brittle stars of several kinds, sergeant majors, molly millers, crown cones, and redfinger rubble crabs, suggesting a rocky bottom with plenty of crevices for these creatures to shelter in.
