About this site
Crescent Reef lies within the reef systems surrounding Yap, an island group in the Federated States of Micronesia in the western Pacific, sitting within the broader network of reefs fringing the island's lagoon and outer channels. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 27 metres. Divers here have reported barracuda, fusiliers, grouper, hammerhead sharks, Napoleon wrasse, parrotfish, and snapper moving along the reef.
